    Welcome to Silverhill Women's Institute

    Silverhill WI

Welcome to the local branch of the Women’s Institute which meets in Malborough Village Hall Annexe at 7.30 p.m.  on the second Thursday of every month.

The Women’s Institute remains as relevant today as it was when it was launched in 1915.  The WI enables women to “make a difference” in communities across the country to lives they lead and to express their views.  Here in Malborough we aim to do just that through our regular meetings and wide ranging discussions.

Being a member of the WI can help you to expand your horizons and make new friends, take up new interests, learn new crafts and skills. The WI offers all kinds of opportunities to all kinds of women.

Newcomers are always welcome. Why not give us a try? Click on the programme above for details of our activities in 2017. Key dates are also shown on the Calendar.

If you would like to talk to someone before coming along, ring our Secretary, Lynda Reeves, on 01548 561495 or our President, Sue Higgs, on 01548 560423.  They will be happy to help you and answer any queries.

Silverhill is part of the South Hams’ group of WIs which also includes Kingsbridge, Stokenham and Frogmore and Sherford. We meet the other group members regularly. Information about the WI nationally is available at www.thewi.org.uk.
