Welcome to your local WI; the Silverhill branch. The W.I. is as relevant today as it was when it was launched in 1915. And it's just as radical. The WI is here to enable women like you to 'make a difference' to the life you lead, to the local Malborough community you're a part of and to the world you live in.
We can help you to expand your horizons and make new friends, take up new interests, learn new crafts and develop new skills. We offer all kinds of opportunities to all kinds of women.
We meet in the Village Hall Annexe at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of every month. Click on programme above for details of our programme for 2012. Key dates are also shown on the Calendar.
New-comers are always welcome - why not give it a try. If you would like to talk to someone before coming along, ring the Secretary, Barbara Brazier, on 01548 562211 or the President, Margaret Weymouth, on 01548 842552 .
Silverhill is part of the South Hams group of W.I.s which also include Kingsbridge, Stokenham, Bowcombe with Charleton and Frogmore and Sherford. We meet the other members regularly and are hosts for the next group meeting. Information about the W.I. nationally is available at www.thewi.org.uk.
